Portfolio - Japan: Street Photography

About this series:

Most people whose photos are being taken, whether in the studio or on the street, know when the photographer is taking that photo. In this series, my intent was to capture what people were doing when they thought I wasn't looking or taking a photo. I kept the camera hanging around my neck and snapped blindly while usually looking away. What the camera captured was very often quite interesting. When you see a subject looking directly at the camera, we are in fact not making eye contact, but they are sneaking a look while they think I will never see.
